Audio Poetry
Lynn McGee is the author of the poetry collections Tracks (Broadstone Books, 2019), Sober Cooking (Spuyten Duyvil Press, 2016), and two award-winning poetry chapbooks: Heirloom Bulldog (Bright Hill Press, 2015), and Bonanza (Slapering Hol Press, 1997). My Seven-Season Friendship with a Russian Spy
My Seven-Season Friendship with a Russian Spy was published in Atticus Review in March 2020. The poem — inspired by The Americans, a spy thriller series set in the 1980s and which features two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple — is from Lynn McGee's manuscript that blends personal narrative with the themes of film and streaming series, The TV in the Other Room. The soundtrack is scored for strings, brass, synth bass, and a variety of field recordings from personal collections and freesound.org. Russian language segments were created using Google Translate and Amazon Poly.
