We are staying near the West Bali National Park. A guide is required to visit much of the park. I was looking forward to audio recording the sounds of the forest. Discussion with a ranger resolved for us to start with a visit that night.
Our driver, Emon was keen to visit at night because of the temples there which he had visited with his father, but thus far only during the day. He prepared our visit by picking up some offerings to bring for prayer at the temples.
This park is known for its deer, wild boar, birds, and many monkeys. That night the birds and monkeys were all asleep evidently. The forest was silent - not the recording opportunity I had imagined - but beautifully peaceful in the half moon.
Its temples, in particular, were wonderful to visit in the still moonlight.
I took some photos, lit by my flashlight.
