One of my favorite places is Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu. When we arrived, I wondered how the rough patina was created, how the gold was applied and what material it was and how the flags were changed. We went to a rooftop cafe for a coffee and to my great delight all of my questions were answered by the maintenance crew.
